Tami Reller Sells 5,800 Microsoft Shares

Tami Reller, the former Windows boss that took the reins after the departure of Steven Sinofsky has now taken charge as the Executive Vice President of Marketing for Microsoft.

And according to a recent report by American Banking News, the high-profile executive has sold 5,800 shares of her stock on the open market on August 1.

The reason is yet to be disclosed, but the total value of these shares comes in at $186,122. Her shares fetched an average price of $32.09. The former Windows boss now holds 480,383 shares of the company’s stock.

The sale was disclosed in a document that Microsoft recently filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission, which is available at this link.

Reller was very recently promoted to Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Marketing Group. This was part of CEO Steve Ballmer’s massive reorganization that is supposed to push Redmond towards a devices and services concept.

Tami Reller actually joined the technology titan back in 2001 — this was after Microsoft purchased Giant Plains Software. Over the years, she has held several positions within the company, including high-profile posts like Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Windows division.

Microsoft stock has been trading at around the $32 mark, and recently climbed its one year highs of $36.43 per share.

      • Whoa! I’d think she’d buy a house for more than that amount of moola, so perhaps that’s just a down-payment. Let’s hope it’s for nothing more serious than that. Kid’s college tuition, or something like that.
