  • I use Firefox and have noticed some visual glitches, but apart from the “not seeing DVD drive” problem everything is working perfectly including games, steam, and Origin.

  • I do absolutely love it. I am really pleased with startup times.
But typical, yesterday when I took my netbook to my youth club with a type up I had done, When booted up, instead of showing the login screen, instead it was just a plain green screen lol.
    Typical tech
Works fine when you using it at home or something, and then when you take it somewhere else where you going to let others use it (for doing final touchs on the work), it mucks around. Typical tech, but there again it isn’t just tech. It’s lots of stuff lol

    •  I’ve noticed that the majority of problems I run in to only occur if I want to show off the device to someone for the first time. If I’m by myself it pretty much behaves most of the time.  🙂

  • I have been using the developer preview since September. I now use the Consumer Preview everyday for my primary operations. Aside from minor glitches and freezeups, everything works fine.
I will note that I do need to use VLC player to play DVD movies. Windows 8 can no longer play DVD movies by default using Windows Media Player or Media Center. This was the case with the developer preview and the consumer preview. There even have been rumors about this before the /build// conference.
But I do love using Windows 8 and am definitely looking forward to more apps in the Windows Store.

  • hehehehe you are dreaming dude, u fall in love with BETA Edition so what you gunna do with FINAL Edition?? i think u will make love with it..
all this “useless” story looks like shadow on the wall cuz win 8 cp is PIECE of CRAP as Hundreds of Professionals says surely including me. i’ve try win 8 cp for 5 days and in day 6  i return to w7 sp1 for just 3 Reasons “its not beta, more trusted and bugs free”, you cant compare between w7 final and w8 beta for this simple reasons.
i’ll wait for w8 final thin i’ll compare and decide.
