The welcome screen displays a big image, embedded with a related news headline, and not related stock market indices.
Click on the headline to read the details.
Indices Section
This section summarizes the general health of your stock markets in the form of a statistical graph and crunched numbers.
If there are several stock markets in your country/region, then you can select one.
The graph plots index value against time, which you can select between current day, week, month or year.
Besides the graph, it shows the index at which the stock market opened on current day and the day previous to that. It also provides ranges within which the index fluctuated today, and last 52 weeks.
News Section
This section presents you finance-related news headlines collected from various news sources.
Each tile represents a news article. Clicking on a tile leads you to the actual article.
Watch List Section
As the name implies, this section acts as a watchdog for the stock values of the companies that you select. You can add or remove companies to the watch list.
The list is a collection of tiles, each tile representing a company. Clicking a tile displays the details of the company.
To add a company, click on the tile that hosts the “+” button. You will need to enter the company’s name or stock market symbol.
To remove a tile from the watch list, right-click on the tile. A context menu will swipe up from the bottom edge. Click on Remove to remove the selected tile.
Market Movers Section
This section lists the stock values of the current day’s major leaders, losers and active players.
There are three sections, one dedicate to each of gainers, losers, and active companies.
Select a stock market from the top of the section in order list companies in context of that market.
Across the Market Section
This section lists stuffs related to global trade.
You can see values of international currencies in this section. Also, you can see current prices of valuable commodities like gold, oil, silver, etc.

It lists major international currencies, followed by currencies of several countries grouped by their continents.
Rates Section
Here, you can view current fees, interest rates, etc., on loans offered by various companies.
Rates Section includes sub-sections, each representing a type of loan – mortgage, home equity, auto loans, savings and credit cards.
A sub-section differentiates loans based on factors like time amount offered, card type, etc. For example, Auto Loans sub-section lists 3 tiles, representing loans for 3, 4 (new auto), 4 (used auto) and 5 years.
Click on a tile to see the list of companies offering the loan, along with details like interest rate, monthly or/and annual fees, discount, etc. For example, mortgage loan for 30 years is offered by following companies.

This section encompasses several lists of companies. Each list lists companies based on some criteria like performance, ratings, expectations, etc.
Each tile in this section represents a list. The title of the list describes the basis on which the list has been formed.
Click on a tile to view its list. For example, the current list of top performers since last 5 years looks like this.
Details of a Company
If you click on a tile that summarizes a company’s stock values, then the app will immediately overwhelm you by providing all sorts of financial information of the company.
Again, the details of a company are distributed across several sections.
The first visible section draws a
graph similar to that of the stock market. It plots real-time stock values of the company.
News section lists financial news of that company in the form of tiles. Click on a tile to read the news details.
Key Statistics Section is a table that covers financial details like stock price, market cap, dividend, net margin, revenue growth, etc.
Company Profile Section provides a brief history of the company, the industry and sector in which it functions, its rating given by Morningstar, etc.
The next section,
Financials, shows two graphs based on revenues & profits, and cash reserves. Each graph plots values from current as well as past quarters/years.
The last section,
Fund Ownership Trends, gives an overview of the company shares owned by mutual funds.
It contains a table populated by the funds, along with each fund’s details like fund rating, its buying or selling trend, etc.
Search Charm
You can give a company’s name of symbol to the Search Charm in order to find its financial details.
For example, I summoned the Search Charm and entered GOOG, share market symbol for Google.
Finance has given a robust suggestion feature to Search Charm. So, it provides you with the list of all stock markets where Google is listed by the symbol “GOOG”.
I selected NASDAQ from the list. The result is the financial details of Google, in context of NASDAQ.
Share Charm
Finance app lets you share different data, depending on where you are in the app currently.
If you are browsing in the main screen (first-level interface) of the app, then Share Charm will share the indices of the stock markets.
If you are currently working with the details of a company, then Share Charm shares brief financial details of that company.
Settings Charm
Finance app has only one setting. You can change country so that the app shows stock values of the markets of that country.
You may also choose a language from the provided, limited choices.
