Have we seen our last Windows 10 Mobile Insider build? If you’ve been wondering where are the build releases for the mobile OS, then you’re not alone. Several other people are asking this question.

Because while we have been getting the preview versions for PC, at a regular clip, mobile builds for smartphones are no longer in sight. In fact, it almost looks like you have to leave the Windows Insider Program to get access to new versions.

That’s because rolled out cumulative update build 15254.12 to mobile users on the production ring last week, and this latest update is yet to be pushed Insiders on the Fast ring.

Well, long story short, users have been asking Brandon LeBlanc, the Senior Program Manager on the Windows Insider Program what’s up, and this is how he tried to clarify the situation:

Ouch.

He is, of course, referring to the previous statements from Joe Belfiore, who said in writing, what most of us already knew — that the mobile operating system has reached the end of the line.

Yes, Windows 10 Mobile will be supported until December 2019 at least, but these will only be minor touchups and bug fixes. In the meantime, it is probably best to leave the Windows Insider Program if you are still rocking a Windows phone, and receive monthly cumulative updates.

The Windows Insider Program is now clearly focused on the PC, and it will be really surprising seeing any new mobile builds in that channel from here on.

It is done.
