If you loved the previous build Microsoft released for the Skip Ahead ring of the preview program, then you will love Windows 10 build 16326 even more. It contains a few new features, and a host of improvements.
The previous version provided users with their first taste of the upcoming Redstone 4 release that is due this coming spring.
And while the Windows development team is still primarily focused on the Fall Creators Update, which is on track for launch on October 17, they have baked in a few new features in build 16362, including an improved boot experience that allow you to use sign in info to apply settings after a restart or update.
This can be customized, and you can opt out if you want.
Narrator has been picking up enhancements left and right these past couple of months, and this build also comes with a few improvements for this handy accessibility feature.
You finally have the ability to select the desired audio channel for Narrator speech output. This can be changed in the Narrator section of Ease of Access in Settings.
That’s about it in terms of new additions.
Though Microsoft also updated the Feedback Hub today for Skip Ahead Insiders, bringing along integration for the new Language Community app that allows Insiders to vote for language suggestions for Windows settings and apps right from inside the Feedback Hub app.
Nice, small change, this.
Of course, not build release is complete with a slew of fixes and improvements, and there are plenty here in build 16362. Including some for Windows Shell, Microsoft Edge, gaming and input, as well as general touchups here and there.
