Not your phone, but Your Phone. A feature that connects your smartphone with the operating system, opening up new possibilities. Windows 10 build 17728 brings the taste.
This new option allows you to make calls, send and receive messages, and more.
It can even interact with your photo gallery.
And if this feature sounds familiar, then you’re not wrong. This feature was announced at BUILD, though we have not heard almost nothing about it since. But now Your Phone is here, though some of the features are understandably limited on iOS devices right now.
Anyway, this is how Microsoft has introduced this new version of the preview.
So, basically, this feature brings the options available on your phone to your Windows 10 device, including automatic syncs of your most recent pictures.
iPhone users can also link their device with their PCs, surf the web on their phone and send the webpage instantly to your computer to pick up where you left off.
Also included are a few Narrator improvements, which is something Microsoft has been focusing on enhancing lately.
Overall, this is a pretty significant build, with a feature that has been much anticipated ever since it was announced back in May. This preview version seems to be laying the groundwork for this handy new option, which should hopefully be here by the time Redstone 5 launches.
In fact, it may well be the last new major feature to arrive in this update that is due this fall.
Furthermore, this build has been moved from the RS_PRERELEASE branch to RS5_RELEASE, another indication that development is winding down.
