But if you are not one of the lucky few in Finland, you may start seeing the update notification for the Windows 10 Mobile Fall Creators Update on your handset later this week.
And that’s because open market devices are on track to get this update in the next couple of days.
This intelligence has been provided by Brandon LeBlanc of Microsoft, who revealed on Twitter that the update actually started rolling out in Finland. Things will scale up very soon, though users that bought their handsets from carriers like AT&T will probably have to wait a bit longer.
The Fall Creators Update for Mobile began rolling out on Oct. 17th starting with Finland. Open market devices start getting it this week.

Comforting words, as Microsoft has been actually completely silent on the situation after saying that the mobile OS would actually see an upgrade around the same time as the Fall Creators Update launch for PC users.
Which actually went live on October 17, as scheduled.
As for the devices that are set to receive the update, the list is about as small as you may have imagined, with only a few Lumia handsets:
- Alcatel IDOL 4S
- Alcatel IDOL 4S Pro
- Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
- HP Elite x3
- HP Elite x3 (Telstra)
- HP Elite x3 (Verizon)
- Microsoft Lumia 550
- Microsoft Lumia 650
- Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL
- MouseComputer MADOSMA Q601
- Softbank 503LV
- Trinity NuAns Neo
- VAIO Phone Biz
- Wileyfox Pro
Chances are, that this will be the last feature update for the mobile OS, so there’s that too.
