Another paid premium game lands on the Window Store. Based on the popular comic book and successful movie, Avengers Initiative has finally been ported to Microsoft’s flagship operating platform.
These high profile releases in the past few weeks are proof enough that those of you looking for exciting games can look forward to these ports. This game offers players a chance to play and fight as Hulk, Captain America in several intense battles.
Here is a look at the official description, by the way:
“Level up, gear up, and fight as HULK or CAPTAIN AMERICA in this epic adventure optimized for touch screen devices. Track down and defeat some of the world’s most notorious villains like Wendigo, Abomination, The Kronan, and The Skrulls, and help THE AVENGERS pull the world back from the brink of catastrophe!”
The game is everything you would expect from a big name developer.
While more characters would be good to have, the crisp visuals, blazing special effects and authentic Marvel locations mean that gameplay is a blast, while customization options, unlockable items, and the ability to upgrade ensure great replay value.
One thing of note before you head over and shell out the $4.99 for the game is the high, high system requirements — in terms of download size, that is. The game flies in at over 1.6 GB, so be prepared.
No trial version is currently available, though the game supports both Windows 8 and Windows RT, allowing Surface RT owners a chance to enjoy some intense action.

Great! Many thanks for the RT support!
Too true! Every one in a while apps (mostly games) land without Windows RT support, but nice to see big name developers porting their apps to the Windows on ARM platform.
