The Nook app has been available for quite some time on the Windows Store, but Barnes & Noble has just given it a new polish while taking it international. First up, the app now fully supports Windows 8.1.
And while availability was initially limited to the US, the application is now available in no less than 32 countries and in 21 languages. Talk about traveling the world. A bunch of European markets have now been added including Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Norway and Netherlands.

The app also offers support for Microsoft Accounts for reading and shopping, however, plenty of books are offered for free. An enjoyable reading experience is pretty much guaranteed with this feature rich application, for all types of content — books, newspapers, magazines and comics.
A free 14-day trial for newspapers and magazines is also on offer. And speaking of free, this freeware supports all flavors of Microsoft’s modern operating platform, including ARM based ones.
