There may be a thousand and one card games available in the real world, but when it comes to the virtual one, only a select few have made the transition. The classic Uno is one such game that has made appearances on pretty much all gaming platforms through the years.

And now Gameloft has brought the beloved game to the Windows Store.

UNO & Friends is a recent title on Microsoft’s app repository, but has quickly ended up with plenty of downloads and high ratings. Available for both desktop and tablets, the game offers multiplayer modes over both 3G and WiFi connections.

But first, here is the official description:

“Playing UNO with friends, family, and millions of fans worldwide has never been easier! Join one of the largest free online mobile gaming communities and enjoy an all-new free multiplayer experience, competitive leaderboards and fun customization options that let you shout “UNO!” on a whole new level!”

The free game offers enough social touches to keep everyone interested with leaderboards and weekly challenges and contests for a distinctive gaming experience.

And the package itself is of the highest quality imaginable, with bright colorful visuals, a matching soundtrack, and topnotch gameplay. Card designs and special effects are impeccable, and the interface is completely touch optimized.

The game is available for all three processors that Microsoft’s modern platforms support, including ARM, though there are some minimum hardware requirements that need to be kept in mind.
