On first look, Way to the Stars looks like a generic puzzle game, similar to many recent mobile hits that were inspired by Cut the Rope. And it is, in more ways than one.
But it also is something that brings a decent amount of challenge when it comes to gameplay.
You take control of a number of aliens that crashed into a barn, with their flying saucer. The goal in each level being to reach the exit with the main green creature, while collecting those glittering stars along the way. Hence the name.
Here is the official description:
“The little aliens’ flying saucer ran out of fuel and in an attempted emergency landing it came crashing down right into a barn here on earth. Now the aliens have to escape from the barn and find new fuel to continue on the their journey to the stars. Luckily they are able to alter their form which enables them to overcome all the obstacles in their way.
In this fun and free brain teasing game it is you objective to smooth the way out of each level for the aliens by using their shape shifting abilities. With good timing and clever use of the environment you will succeed. Play now!”
So basically the green alien cannot be transformed, but the other aliens have shape shifting powers, and they come in real handy as you solve each level. Makes for a decent amount of challenge, as you create different shapes that can then be used by the main alien.
It may not be all that original, but the presentation and visual art style is top notch. This free puzzle game works on all modern versions of Windows, x86, x64 and ARM.
