So basically, all apps must now use a name that clearly reflects their functionality, categories must be selected accurately, and at the same time icons must be different from existing apps so as not to create confusion amongst users. That should take care of those countless VLC Player clones! Brix also makes it clear that most of these scam apps were developed with good intentions, and not to trick users into buying and downloading. Regardless, Microsoft will refund the cost of such apps that were downloaded because of an erroneous description, or have been removed from the store.]]>
