words of Joe Belfiore of Microsoft:
“We’ll enable our partners to build lower cost hardware for a great Windows experience at highly competitive price points.”Redmond is said to be planning an affordable Surface branded tablet that is expected to retail in or around the $250 mark. At the same time, there has been a stark increase in the number of such affordable Windows devices from hardware vendors these past few months. Companies like Lenovo, Dell and ASUS have unveiled hardware that sells for around $300. With a strategy like this, Microsoft surely can make its modern operating system available to more and more users, and cover almost all price points. What about you guys? Would you be willing to part with cash for lower cost hardware? Or are you the type that likes to stay in the comfort zone of midrange to high end? Now’s the time to speak!]]>
