Digitimes citing sources from the PC industry claims that Windows 8 will not make its mark on enterprises until 2014. Stability and necessity are the two major considerations for companies in their decision to upgrade. And these are two things that will only come with time. Microsoft, for its part is urging everyone running XP and Vista to make the move upstream, claiming that these two operating systems are not particularly secure working environments – at least not as secure as Windows 7 and 8. Support for Windows XP is set to end in April 2014, which aligns quite nicely with the above prediction. 2013 could be the year of Windows 8 on the consumer front – 2014 is shaping up for the enterprise.]]>
