What the heck is an IME?

An IME (Input Method Editor)is a program that allows computer users to enter complex characters and symbols, such as Japanese characters, using a standard keyboard.

I’m guessing this person worked on the Chinese version of this for Windows 8, allowing the input of Chinese (Mandarin etc) characters into the Operating system…
