Windows Phone Battery Life Versus Android Is Around 10% Better

unveiled the HTC One (M8) for Windows smartphone. Quirky name aside, this new Windows Phone powered flagship comes with the same internal hardware as the poplar Android based model. Same 2.3GHz quad core processor, similar display, even the 2600 mAh battery is equally comparable. So what figures do we have for the battery timings of both devices? It appears that the Windows Phone variant offers a talk time of 22 hours and a standby time of 528 hours, while the Android model is stated to have figures of 20 hours and 496 hours respectively. So that is a difference of about 10%, give and take. Not everything here has got to do with the operating system themselves. One has to remember that the Android platform is much more open in nature compared to Microsoft’s mobile operating system, and this added flexibility also comes into play in these counts.   • Not surprising! Windows Phone has a lot of advantages over competitors but public perception and media spin prevent that from getting to the surface!
