Xiaomi sure is taking things to a whole another level! Last year the Chinese technology giant entered the premium laptop market with the Mi Notebook Air range, and today it has announced Mi Notebook Pro.

These sleek new laptops come with the 8th generation Intel Core series processors.

Delivering what the chip giant claims is up to 40% improved performance in some tasks, when compared to the chips that were around last year.

Getting back to the laptop, though, it appears that Xiaomi has thought this through. These machines come with the perfect blend of performance, style and price. In terms of hardware, this is what you can expect from the Mi Notebook Pro.

  • Processors: 8th generation Intel Core i5 and i7, speeds up to 4.0 GHz
  • Display: 15.6-inch with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce MX150
  • RAM: Up to 16GB
  • Storage: 256GB SSD

A dual cooling system keeps things nice and tight under the magnesium alloy frame, and Xiaomi has also thrown in Dolby Atmos audio and a touchpad with built-in fingerprint sense to complete the deal.

The included 60 Wh battery charges up to 50% in just 35 minutes, thanks to fast charging support.

Of course, just like the Mi Notebook Air range, this new line of notebooks is designed to take on Apple and its MacBook Pro lineup. But at very affordable prices. The company has three configurations available, one with a Core i5 chip with 8GB of RAM, and the other two with Core i7.

With RAM configurations either 8GB or 16GB.

Prices start at approximately $860 for the most affordable model, going up to $982 for the Core i7 with 8GB RAM, all the way up to $1,074 for the Core i7 and 16GB RAM model.

Sales will begin in China soon, while other markets will have to wait a while to get their hands on these Windows 10 powered sleek and stylish laptops.
